Hello Canebrakers,

The Canebrake County Water District faces considerable challenges (see https://canebrakewater.specialdistrict.org/president-s-view-at-6-months). At present we have no full-time staff and are an almost entirely volunteer organization. We, the Directors of the Board, are volunteering as much time as we can. But the truth is we cannot do it all ourselves. We would never have gotten this far without considerable assistance from volunteers (Thank You!).

Which is why we are sending out this Volunteer Questionnaire. Maybe you, someone in your family, or even your friends would like to pitch in to help our community. Maybe spend time with new neighbors and get to know them better. Perhaps you just like being outside and getting work done. Maybe you’re interested in learning about the operations of the Water District. Maybe you’re even considering running for the Board of Directors someday. And it's not all about digging holes - we rely on an array of skills and talents. 

If any of this sounds like you – we ask you to respond to our Volunteer Questionnaire. If you take the questionnaire, we ask you to answer individually (not for the entire household). Feel free to share the link with others who are interested. The questionnaire should take only 5 minutes. That's it!

Only anonymized, aggregated responses will be shared with the community (e.g. “we received 38 responses”, or “7 respondents indicated expertise in plumbing”).
