Update July 7, 2024

The repairs to the line on Smoketree Lane are holding. Jerry also built a box over the line to provide protection from direct sunlight. The steel tank level is at 6.4 feet as of 12:33 pm. The circuit breakers are also holding. Travis will replace the breaker box when the weather is cooler. Jerry is presently fueling the CCWD truck and will head back to San Diego. Daryl was out three times this week and left emergency water in the refrigerator for anyone who needs it courtesy of the Holmes Family.
The working plan is to pump the steel tank up to 8 feet and then turn off the pump. We will let the tank level run down to 5 feet and pump back up to eight feet. Bob Mooney will be overseeing the Peterson Well until Wednesday when Gunnar arrives to work with Mr. Sexton and Travis to install a timer system on the Peterson Well. After installation, the pump will be operated remotely. During Gunnar’s mid-week stay he will also fill the Poly tank using Mooney Well overnight. Mr. Sexton will also work on any line repairs that need attention.
Given the conditions, we want to keep as much water in the tanks. Therefore, please no landscape watering until further notice.
Sincere appreciation is in order for the team that worked through extreme conditions to ensure water for our residents. Those in alphabetical order are:
