Please understand that the positive coliform reading is being treated immediately and seriously. 

Here is the plan.

The Water Manager will take samples from Peterson and Mooney Wells today, July 13, 2023 and the CCWD Board Treasurer will deliver to the lab the same day. Results should be known by late Friday. If well tests come back ABSENT, sanitizing of the tank will begin Saturday using a plan developed by our D1 Operator and vetted by the County of San Diego.  Blow offs will be opened on Sunday to fill lines.  On Monday blow offs will be opened  to purge system.

At this point the tank will be filled and chlorine readings taken. We will continue to purge system to acceptable chlorine level of 2mg/L if necessary. Wednesday, early morning, we will take samples and deliver to Clarkson Laboratory.  

After samples are taken allow two days for results, essentially Thursday or Friday. 

Continue Boil Advisory until further notice.  We will keep you apprised.
