Notice: Limited Water Shutoff 8/2/25
Shutoff: The CCWD plans to shut off water to a limited number of customers on Saturday 8/2. This work will not interfere with festivities planned at the Community Center. Only the following properties will be affected, and only for a short period of time:
- 145 through 230 Canebrake Rd
- 240 Cholla Ln
- Properties on Upward Trail
The shutoff will occur between 8:00am and 11:00am. We intend for the duration of the shutoff to be very brief. Existing conditions underground will dictate the duration of the shutoff. We will have a full crew on-site to address any contingencies.
Road Closure: Please also note Canebrake Rd between Upward Trail and Stag Horn Rd will be closed for periods of time for the safety of the community and our work crew. You should plan to access the Community Center via the Canyon Rd or Stag Horn Rd entrances to the community.
... PLEASE ALSO NOTE ...
Restoration of Water: Water service has been restored following emergency repairs today (7/30). This will be the case until the planned shutoff noted above. Thank you to today's crew for rapid response: Roberto, Daryl, Chris.
Although we make every effort to prevent introduction of air into water lines, we strongly recommend taking steps to purge possible air in your line. We recommend turning on an outside hose bib slowly until your water flow is clean of air. The absence of air is indicated by a steady flow of water.
A less desirable method would be to slowly turn on an indoor faucet. This is less desirable because of the potential to put excessive pressure on more sensitive plumbing components inside your homes.
Customers are also advised that any modifications or repairs to the system may entail sanitization, including the use of safe levels of chlorine. Sanitization is essential in maintaining our water quality standards.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
