Dear Steve and Dani Parli,

On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Canebrake County Water District, I would like to express our heartfelt appreciation for your extraordinary generosity and service to our community.

Although you are among our newest property owners in Canebrake Canyon, you have already demonstrated an exceptional commitment to your neighbors and to the Water District.

Recently, the District experienced a failure of a newly installed air release valve, resulting in a water leak and the potential for significant water loss. After being contacted by a CCWD Board Member, Steve—a professional plumber with the County of San Diego—promptly located the failed valve and performed a temporary repair to stop the leak.

Steve and Dani then returned to Canebrake with all of the necessary parts and materials to complete a permanent repair. By generously donating your time, expertise, labor, and materials, you helped restore the system while minimizing the loss of one of our community's most precious resources—our water supply.

During that same exceptionally warm day, Steve also responded to a plumbing issue at the Community Building, repairing a leaking sink after being notified by fellow property owners.

Your willingness to step forward without hesitation and use your professional skills for the benefit of the community exemplifies the spirit of volunteerism that makes Canebrake such a special place. Your kindness, dedication, and generosity are deeply appreciated by the District and by your fellow property owners.

Steve and Dani, your actions truly went above and beyond, and you exemplify the very best of what it means to be a Canebraker.
