Greetings Canebrakers,

Calling all volunteers !!  If you're interested in helping the Canebrake County Water District but you're not sure how, this is your chance. We wouldn't have gotten this far without the talent and assistance of volunteers. We can't do this without you. 

Mark your calendars for our first, official "Waterworks Day". We will meet at the Community Center at 8:00AM on Saturday, November 22, 2025. We’ll be doing a little bit of everything. Don't worry if digging holes isn't your thing. (If digging holes is your thing, boy do we have opportunities for you!)

In no particular order, we will be:

• Doing "healthchecks" on meters
• Painting and labeling
• Checking and tallying inventory
• Tidying up and clearing brush & weeds
• Performing minor repairs
• And much, much more if we get loads of help! 

Don’t forget to bring: comfy clothes, sturdy shoes, gloves, hat, sunglasses, sunblock, water, a snack, and some friends.
