The Canebrake County Water District Board of Directors will hold a Special Meeting on Saturday, August 1, 2026, to consider the appointment of a Project Manager/Executive Assistant and to discuss emergency communication procedures.

Please note that this meeting will follow a different format than the District's regular meetings.

The meeting will begin in Open Session at 9:00 a.m., during which the public will have an opportunity to provide comments and the Board will discuss emergency communication procedures.

The Board will then recess to Closed Session pursuant to Government Code § 54957(b)(1) to consider the appointment of a public employee.

At 10:30 a.m., the Board will reconvene in Open Session to report any reportable action taken during Closed Session, vote and provide a second opportunity for public comment before adjournment.

Meeting Schedule

• 9:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. Open Session
• 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Closed Session
• 10:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Reconvened Open Session

As with all Special Meetings, the Board's discussion and action are limited to the items listed on the posted agenda. Public comments regarding matters not on this Special Meeting agenda may be submitted through the District website or presented at the next regular Board meeting in September.
