The Canebrake County Water District Board of Directors held a Special Meeting on Saturday, August 1, 2026, to consider the appointment of a Project Manager/Executive Assistant and to discuss emergency communication procedures.

Please note that this meeting followed a different format than the District's regular meetings.

The meeting began in Open Session at 9:00 a.m., during which the public had an opportunity to provide comments and the Board discussed and then tabled emergency communication procedures.

The Board then recessed to Closed Session pursuant to Government Code § 54957(b)(1) to consider the appointment of a public employee.

At 10:30 a.m., the Board reconvened in Open Session to report any reportable action taken during Closed Session, vote and provided a second opportunity for public comment before adjournment.

• 10:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Reconvened Open Session

As with all Special Meetings, the Board's discussion and action were limited to the items listed on the posted agenda.
